How To Roast & Broil with Suvie

Roasting with Suvie

High temperature roasting is ideal for crispy vegetables and beautifully browned chicken, fish, or pork tenderloin. The powerful quartz heating elements quickly cook your food with a wonderful roast flavor.

We recommend using the Roast function any time you are cooking proteins or vegetables on their own. Alternatively, the Bake function is best suited for meals that require gentler, more even heating such as desserts and casseroles.

Food Prep Instructions

  1. Place the roasting rack into the Suvie pan.
  2. Remove ingredients from packaging and place on top of the roasting rack.
  3. Select the Roast function and enter the desired temperature and time when prompted.

Button-Press-Start Cool-to-Cook

Since the roast mode utilizes the broilers, this function can not be scheduled ahead or begin cooking automatically. Suvie can still keep your food refrigerated until you are home to start the cook by clicking the “cook now” button on the display.

Broiling with Suvie

Two state-of-the-art quartz broilers heat up in seconds to precisely brown your proteins and vegetables. It’s easy to caramelize sweet glazes on pork or add an extra crispness to brussel sprouts.

When cooking using the Sous Vide or Slow Cook function, Suvie will prompt you to finish your meal by broiling it to achieve a desirable flavor and appearance. Always be sure to remove your ingredients from any packaging before starting to broil.

Food Prep Instructions:

  1. Place the roasting rack into the Suvie pan.
  2. Remove ingredients from packaging and place on top of the roasting rack.
  3. Select the Broil function and enter the desired broil time when prompted.

TIP: Pat proteins dry with a paper towel prior to broiling. Drain excess water from the Suvie pans and add a bit of oil to the vegetables to achieve the perfect broil.

Button-Press-Start Cool-to-Cook

Since the broil mode utilizes the broilers, this function can not be scheduled ahead or begin cooking automatically. Suvie can still keep your food refrigerated until you are home to start the cook by clicking the “cook now” button on the display.
